Meet Melissa
When I started teaching yoga in 2016, my classes were so large and many of my clients couldn't receive the beneficial one-on-one attention they needed. Soon after, I changed to provide personalized yoga instruction right in peoples' homes.
Since then, my clients are able to embrace and grasp each class, with the sole focus being on them and their needs.
This is Calmaste Yoga, where calm and namaste become one, with the ultimate goal of finding your calm.

Hatha
Body and mind are connected to breath through each pose by utilizing a gentler approach. Holding poses for longer is a common theme. The cycle starts with meditation, breath, different poses (standing, seated, laying down), breath, meditation.
Excellent choice for anyone in any age category. Modifications can be done making it easier or more challenging.

Vinyasa
Control of breath is paramount in this faster-paced flow as movements are connected to breath. Poses are intertwined and placed in a special way that links breath and movement in such a way that balance is found and restored between body and mind.

Restorative
A slow-paced practice where poses are held for longer periods of time through active and passive stretches. An all-encompassing calmness, deeper breathing techniques, and stillness promote mental, physical, and emotional relaxation on a new level.

Prenatal
A safe and gentle balance of modified poses to promote relaxation in preparation for childbirth. Meditation and breath are connected to embrace movement through this exciting time!
